For localized prostate cancer, radical prostatectomy—removal of the prostate and surrounding tissues—can be curative. It may be performed via open, laparoscopic, or robotic approaches depending on stage, MRI findings, PSA, and your overall health.

Recovery & results: A urinary catheter remains for ~1–2 weeks. Early mobilization and guided pelvic-floor exercises support continence recovery. Pathology determines if additional therapy is needed.
